Yeah I think early on in development of the original RE1 it didn't have connected item boxes, so the real survival mode is basically a return to how it was planned to be. I don't know when it was changed to have them connected

Bro, I was sitting behind my cousin and an older brother hiding every time there was an enemy encounter. The first T-Rex apperance made me run from the room and ask both of them to tell me when it's over, lol. I'm 32 right now and those memories are great. It also shaped my taste for this type of games, making me play Resident Evil series, Alone in the Dark, Silent Hill, the stories I watched unfold before my eyes, the memories of playing with family and friends, I wouldn't exchange it for anything in this world. You should count yourself lucky to stumble upon such great productions, they made your memories. We're not that old ffs :). Take care and keep on rockin' bro, much health and prosperity for you.

Well, I think that's still just a rumour. I'm holding out hope we'll hear something in June or July around its anniversary so we can know if this franchise is extinct or not.

Haha "gumbi sliding" I like that. And yeah they talked about it in the RE2 and RE3 books, too, along with some other things like moving with the ready button.

Dino Crisis remake---->RE1 remake remake.

Yeah the atmosphere in RE0 is still amazing to this day

I'm hoping they do that too, and give it the same treatment Tomb Raider Remastered got. Capitalize on the popularity of the remakes and bring a whole new generation of fans to the series!

But then... why do that when they can sell you the remakes of the games at full price over a $40USD collection of a few games? I'd like to get the OGs on modern hardware (legally), but they don't want that, they wanna give us a remake of the game(s) because they can sell it for the full $70USD.

@@MLPIceberg well they could do both, which is what Tomb Raider is doing. Release the HD remasters and build hype, now they've announced a new game, and a tv series after the remasters got such a good reception. Seems like an HD remaster could be a good way to gauge interest and a first step to revive a franchise like Dino Crisis

Good timing! I can't remember the last time I played it, probably 10 years ago. Revisiting it was fun, I had forgotten how hard the puzzles can be. Hope you give it a shot!

@@raccooncitycinema In this context, accessible means that the game must have good "accessibility" features so that gamers with disabilities can play the game. A prime example of these features is The Last Of Us part II. Lord knows that at least the RE games could do with some "accessibility". Looking forward to working with you in the future my friend. hope things are getting better in Canada wherever you are.

@@TheBengalDragon ok gotcha. I haven't played Last of Us 2 yet, and have no idea what kinds of things they did to make it more accessible. I'm interested to know what they could do for Resident Evil. I was also interested in your beep ball video. I didn't know that was a thing, but very cool.

@@raccooncitycinema Oh thanks. I had no idea beep ball was this much fun. They even have it in Canada I heard. As for what RE could do to make it more accessible, well, take lessons from TLOU 2's accessibility (not the story, the story is garbage in TLOU2) and incorporate things like auto aim, navigation markers that show you where to go, a Skip Puzzle option, sound cues when interactable objects or areas are near, etc. These are also there in GOW Ragnarok, but TLOU2 one's better. My next gaming project will be a character analysis of Raiden from Mortal Kombat, and how an obsession corrupts a god. I do have one more Claire vid after that planned, as I found five more CVX references. I'll also talk about Claire's trauma from a psychological view point (Classical conditioning, conditioned Trauma Response, etc). Did you finish my CVX vs DSC video yet?

Sorry to keep you waiting, but coincidentally the timing worked out great with the 25th anniversary (totally planned it that way, yep!) Yeah Kai went way above and beyond! Unbelievably generous of him. Lol hopefully a remake comes before then, but yeah imagine what mechanics a remake could have now? Like if you don't stop bleeding dinos can smell the blood and stalk you. Glad to hear it and thank you!!

For sure, the timing is perfect, too. Upcoming 25th anniversary, massive interest in remakes, they could even use assets from Exoprimal (maybe? Never played it cuz I don't have PS Plus). What a tease that was

A Dino Crisis remake with Re 2 Remake's gameplay and feel is an instant "take my money" moment. DC2 is one for the RE4 Remake gameplay imo.

They could have made a reboot of the game too if they want to by using the dinosaur models in Monstee Hunter World. Usin RE engine and RE2 gameplay will make it more good

They teased/promised a remake... and we ended up getting Exoprimal instead. Live Service garbage. I honestly have no hope for a remake since they did that to the fans. Now, could it be they were waiting for an anniversary? Maybe. But why not mention/tease that instead of doing what they did: Teasing a remake, turning around to release a Live Service game that resembles Dino Crisis more than it should? They mishandled it and I have no faith they'll make anything good out of it. Exoprimal was meh at best.

​​@@Cyberpit2000 i am playing RE4 after a long life of experience in Dino Crisis 2 and i can see some similarities with DC2 in the RE4 map menu style and menu sounds. They are almost the same sounds but sped up or changed a bit. The map style is so similar too,i was really impressed. Maybe they took inspiration from DC2

@@raccooncitycinema neat stuff and random facts is why i subbed in the first place. Been playing these games for 20+ years and learning stuff I never knew is always entertaining. I always have a hard time fitting that kind of stuff in. Hope you liked the last few reviews I've done, and appreciate the comment on the RE1 review.
